Father's Day Cards

Last month I shared my favourite Mother's Day Cards, and today it's all about those special dads. Whether you want to buy a card or make one yourself, I've rounded up my favourite ones to make your search a little easier.

1) Spider Killer: This one definitely applies to me, I'm petrified of creepy crawlers!
2) Favourite Child: Parents say they love us all equally, but...
3) Sugar Paper: You must check out their website. These are my favourites from their collection.
1 | 2 | 3
4) How To Drive: I'll never forget the night before my driving test. My dad took me out to practise my parking...it was a good idea (haha). Thanks daddy, I'm a pro now :)
5) You Are My Father: For the Star Wars fans out there.
6) You're The Bomb: Featuring the beloved retro red, white, and blue popsicle. Gotta love a good pun!
7) Bowtie: Simple, Classic and Cute.
8) Owl Card: Inside reads 'You are! Happy Fathers Day, Dad! I love you!' This one's a cute for little kids to give.
9) Best Dad in 3D: Put those glasses on and make the words pop off the page!
10) Working Dad: Love the illustration on this one! Does it remind you of someone you know?
11) DIY Typography Glasses: Minimal but super cute! I love how it looks folded up and put in an enveloppe. You can get the template here.
12) Grillmaster: Is your father a master of the grill? This one's for you!

Chocolate Candy-Filled Confetti Eggs

As I was putting together my 'Top Egg Decorations' post, I came across this deliciously fun idea and had to share it with you.

Buy some hollow chocolate eggs, fill it with goodies (m&ms, chocolate chips, sprinkles etc) and seal it back up using some melted chocolate. The pictures are pretty self explanatory :)
How GOOD do these look? Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate!

Top Easter Egg Decorations

With Easter around the corner, I've been seeing tons of creative egg decorations around the web. I'm loving all the colours, stripes & polka dots! Here are some of my personal favourites:

1) Black & White: These are probably my favourite of the bunch. They're clean, modern, and seem really fun to design. All you need are some white eggs and a sharpie marker. Try using markers with different thicknesses to get different looks.
2) Pastel: Grab some pastel sharpies for this look. Soft & Cute.
3) Pantone: Remember when I showed you Pantone Food Pairings? Well today, eggs are getting the Pantone makeover. Dye eggs by standing them vertically in a small cup of dye. Then print the Pantone wording on temporary tattoo paper (don't forget to print the words backwards).
4) Thread-It: Brighten up the room with these cheerful eggs! Grab some glue and wrap colourful thread around it.
5) Moustache: Give your eggs some character with some good ol' moustaches! Grab some adhesive vinyl and have fun cutting out different styles.
6) Calligraphy: Writing pretty on an egg can be challenging because of it's round shape. Just like the Pantone eggs, this DIY also uses temporary tattoo paper.
7) Dress Up: How cute is this little guy?
8) Message in-an Egg: Forget the classic 'message in a bottle', use an egg instead! Poke, drain, decorate, write, and send. LOVE this.
9) Sprinkles: Roll your eggs around in a bowl of sprinkles.
10) Writing: Grab a sharpie marker and write whatever your heart desires. The 'messy' handwriting look really works!
11) Neutral: Grab a white paint pen, some brown eggs and design away! Simple & Sweet.
12) Glitter: How could I not finish with these? They're super colourful, fun and so well done!
Will you be decorating eggs this year? Which design did you like the best? Let me know in the comments below or on twitter @techlovedesign.
