DIY Polka Dot Jewelry Dish

Got some jewelry that needs a place to stay? Design your own adorable dish by using a small white platter and some black dot stickers (like these). This one was made using small dots, but you can use bigger ones if you'd like, or even different colours. Pink? Gold? Whatever your heart desires!
(Tip: Use a ruler to keep the dots aligned)

Remember when I showed you how to create your own favor packaging? Well, today I found another cute set! Introducing the Retro Oven Cupcake Box. These ovens are ideal for cupcakes, but can also be used as gift boxes, party centrepieces, or just as fun decoration for your home!

The COOLEST Velcro Hacks

Get ready for some serious Velcro inspiration!
Today I'm showing you some of my favourite Velcro hacks.

1) Starting in the kitchen...let's keep it organized shall we?

All you'll need is a padded envelope, fabric, spray adhesive, and Velcro of course :)

3) Transform your Converse shoes, into Velcro Converse shoes.
Great for kids! (or fun for adults)

DIY Favor Packaging

Goodie bags or shall I say boxes, are always a treat when attending parties, weddings or simple gatherings. Using card stock, an x-acto knife, tape, and a colour printer... you'll be able to create these adorable party favor boxes. Then, it's up to you to fill them!

Download 
(pick one or all four)

Pink Polka Dots

Yellow Stripes

Pink Flowers

Yellow Waves

Directions

1) Print the template(s) above onto an 8.5 x 11" piece of card stock with a colour printer

2) Score along the dotted lines with a bone folder and a ruler

3) Cut along the solid lines with an x-acto knife and a ruler

4) Fold the box together and tape it shut with double sided tape where indicated

Once your boxes are ready, place your goodies inside!

Design Your Own Mugs

Ever want to design your own mug? This popular DIY is found all over Pinterest. Why? It's super easy to do! All you need is a porcelain mug (white is best) and a sharpie marker (or Pebeo marker which apparently stays on better). Draw, write, doodle... whatever your heart desires. Once you're finished, bake it for 30 minutes (350 degrees) and allow it to cool completely before washing or using. I'm definitely going to try this out... Cool right? Let me know if you try it out, I'd love to see the results :)

Turn Yourself into a 3D Paper Doll

Have you heard of the service called Foldable.Me? It allows you to customize your own 3D paper doll... and I'm guilty of trying it out :) To get started, you must first design your 'mini me' on their website. They allow you to customize the hair, eyes, face shape, skin colour, clothing etc. It was super easy to use and was delivered pretty quickly. Check it out:

1) Boy or Girl?

2) Customize your doll

3) Twirl your doll to make sure it's juuust right

4) Bring your dolls to life! It seems a little intimidating at first, but just follow the directions.
Pop it out. Fold the edges. Slot it together.

5) Ta-Da! You now have little mini dolls :)

This would be a cute 'place setting' idea. Create paper dolls that look like your guests and have them waiting for them at their seat. Since the big square head is empty, you could even drop a few candies inside. (skittles, smarties, etc.)

It's a little silly I know, but I'll have fun with them by randomly placing them in odd places just to make my boyfriend laugh. A DIY Picnic Blanket

Bri Emery is the brilllliant designer behind Design Love Fest. I feel so honoured to have been taught by her in one of her Blogshop courses. I'll need to do a post on that another day...lots of great things to say about it! As I was getting lost in her blog, I stumbled across this cute DIY tutorial. It's a super cute idea & looks quite easy to do. There's even a video to show you exactly how it's done. Enjoy:

DIY: Paper Flower Cone Bouquets

For the past month I've been really trying to eat healthy (low carb, no sugary snacks etc) so you could imagine how this colourful ice cream cone caught my eye. I love the colours, patterns and reference to the oh so wonderful ice cream (plus, it's guilt free). This would be a cute pick-me-up/apology gift idea (save money on real flowers- those can get expensive right guys?) or even great for parties.

What You'll Need: cones, x-acto knife (or scissors), glue, bright colour paper for flowers, green paper for leaves, and a cool patterned paper for cone covers (I like the stripes).Let me know if you try it out, I'd love to see how they turn out :)

Serve in Style: Trays

Whether you're having breakfast in bed, serving yummy cocktails or displaying different types of cheese, you've got to present it on a cute tray! (even if it's just for you) Here are some of my favourites from around the web.

1) Maisonnette: Carry it, Serve it, Use it. Love this portable little thing!

2) Laptop Lap Desk / Breakfast Serving Tray: Being a Social Media Manager, I'm on call 24/7 and I'll admit, I use my laptop in bed way too often. This comfort tray is dedicated to my fellow workaholics and those who can't resist a sweet breakfast in bed.

3) Wilton Armetal Bouclé Round Tray: Add a stylish touch to your dining room with this round tray cheese board. This tray will make any cheese look beautiful.

4) Printed Tray: Make it POP with this colourful tray. Perfect for a cheerful breakfast :)

5) Freestroke Tray: Black & White. Simple & Modern. This seems like a great DIY project for a non-experienced painter. (Pin-it for later)

6) Le Petit Dej' Breakfast Tray: I like these...both colours. Especially the flower holder!

7) Gold Glitter DIY Tray: You can never go wrong with GOLD & GLITTER. I'd love to make this one day.

8) Chalkboard DIY Tray: Another great DIY project. All you need is a porcelain platter, chalk paint, a brush and an oven. It's perfect for serving cheese, cookies or any other goodies you'd want to label.
