Smoothie Time

It's getting warmer out which means it's almost... SMOOTHIE TIME! I love drinking a fresh fruity drink when it's hot out- Mango Magic from Jugo Juice to be specific. If you want to make your own smoothie, who better to trust than Martha Stewart? If you're craving a yummy drink, try making one of these by tossing the following ingredients into a blender:

1) Mango and Yogurt: 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1 1/2 cups low-fat plain yogurt, 2 1/2 cups frozen mango chunks, 1 tablespoon honey, Juice from half lime.
2) Hearty Fruit and Oat: 1 cup quartered strawberries, 1 sliced banana, 1/4 cup raw almonds, 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats, 1 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt, 1 teaspoon maple syrup.
3) Topical Blueberry: 2 teaspoons sugar, 2 cup chopped pineapple, 1 1/2 cups frozen blueberries, 1 orange (seeded and cut into quarters), 1/2-3/4 cup water.
4) Green Ginger-Peach: 2 handfuls baby spinach, 1 teaspoon grated peeled fresh ginger, 2 cups frozen slices peaches, 2 teaspoons honey, 1 1/4 cups water.

*Nutty Idea: Top it with 1/4 cup chopped nuts, such as almonds or walnuts, for a more filling meal.

On a side note, how creative are these smoothie shots? LOVE!
